Ordering repeat prescriptions

The easiest ways to order repeat prescriptions are:

  • using your NHS account (through the NHS website or in the NHS App)
  • using the GP online system: SystmOnline
  • fill out a repeat prescriptions request form
  • drop your white repeat slip into one of the boxes provided at the front door or in the foyer with the required items clearly marked
  • call our dispensary on 01594 510225 select option 3 between 9am and 11am.

Only order what you need

If you have enough medicine at home, there’s no need to order now – you can request more in future.

Important: Please only order what you need

Approximately 1.4 million medicine items are wasted unnecessarily in Gloucestershire each year.

For more information, go to Medicines waste: Only Order What You Need.

Dispensary

We are a dispensing practice which means that we are allowed to dispense medication to patients living more than one mile from their nearest pharmacy. If you would like to use this service, please check with reception to see if you are eligible.

Collecting your prescription

Information:

You can usually collect your prescription 5 working days after you have ordered it. Please remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.

If you are not eligible, or choose not to, collect your medication from the dispensary at the surgery you will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:

Questions about your prescription

If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer these. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.

The NHS website has information on how your medicine works, how and when to take it, possible side effects and answers to your common questions.

Go to Medicines A to Z (nhs.uk)
