Patients will know that there have been some changes at the practice recently, following the sudden death of Dr Scheuner and Dr Raymond’s subsequent decision to step down. We were very sad to see her go, but understand and respect her reasons, and wish her all the very best for the future.
Moving forward, we are hoping to recruit GPs who will be permanently based at the Practice. In the interim, we are lucky to have an excellent team of GPs, all of whom have previously worked in the Forest, and who are working regularly at Blakeney while we continue to recruit permanent GPs.
Since June last year, Blakeney has been part of G DOC, the not-for-profit GP organisation owned by all the practices in Gloucestershire. Dr Bayley, from G DOC, is working closely with the Blakeney team, and you will see her name on some of our paperwork, including prescriptions.
